- 
2-3  Cloves garlic,
crushed
- 
¼  Teaspoon
salt
- 
1½  Teaspoons
unsalted butter, softened
- 
1 Tablespoon fresh basil,
chopped
- 
1  Ounce lowfat Mozzarella
cheese, shredded
- 
½  Loaf Italian
bread
 
 
 
 
 
 
     1. Cut
the Italian bread in half lengthwise. Spread the butter evenly
        
on the bread.
 
     2. Finely
minced the garlic. Mash the garlic and salt together in a bowl .
        
Spread this evenly on the buttered bread.
 
     3. Top
with the mozzarella cheese and basil.
 
     4. Bake
in a preheated 350º F oven for 10 - 15 minutes. Slice
       
and serve hot.
