Wild Barley
 
 
Serves 2-3
 
   
 
 
 
 
 
     1. Pour the water into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the barley and
         stir once. Return to a boil. Simmer and cook for 50-60 minutes or until
         tender. Make sure the barley does not get low on water. If it does, add
         some more. Drain and rinse the barley. Set aside.
 
     2. In a heavy saucepan, melt the butter. Add the onions and garlic. Sauté
         until limp. Add the mushrooms and sauté until  limp. Add the barley
         and the soy sauce. Cook and stir until heated through. Serve hot.
